Layla Nolasco has been treated at Mercy Hospital St. Louis for the past 18 months, during which time she has received 4 out of 6 joint replacements allowing her to walk for the first time in 15 years. Afflicted with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since a very young age, Layla has always depended on her parents to do all of her daily activities. She is now focusing on gaining strength and independence. Layla is an amazingly strong young lady.
